Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Technical Lead with 6 to 10 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in COBOL DB2 Python IBM Mainframe Utilities IT Service Management JCL DB2 and Cobol. The role requires domain knowledge in Cards & Payments and Asset & Wealth Management. This hybrid position offers a day shift schedule with no travel required.
Need to work from Bangalore location Cognizant office 4 days per week
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of mainframe applications using IBM Mainframe Utilities and Cobol to ensure seamless operations.
- Oversee the integration of Python scripts to enhance system functionality and automate routine tasks.
- Provide technical support and guidance in IT Service Management to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement JCL scripts for job scheduling and execution.
- Manage database operations using DB2 to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Need to own/accountable from requirement gathering till the install/warranty support (need to own all SDLC phases)
- Analyse business requirements in the Cards & Payments domain to develop effective technical solutions.
- Implement best practices in Asset & Wealth Management to optimize system performance and user experience.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations to maintain system security and reliability.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system processes and procedures to support knowledge sharing.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to foster continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
