Job Title: Sr. DevOps Engineer
Location: Lakeland FL (can live 1 2 hours away)
Work Type: Hybrid (onsite 1 week per month remote 3 weeks)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (will go permanent after 6 12 months)
Rate: $55-57/hr on W2

• Candidate will be heavily tested on PowerShell along with other technical requirements.
• This position will go permanent after 6 12 months so no sponsorship is available.
• Must work Eastern or Central time hours.
• Immediate need - candidate should be able to ramp up within 1 2 weeks.
• Target salary range upon conversion: $120K $150K.
• Interview Process:
  1. Phone/video interview with intro questions
  2. Homework assignment with unfamiliar challenge (AI usage expected)
  3. Follow-up interview to review assignment and assess personality fit
  4. Final interview with CTO and Director of Software Engineering
• Goal: complete full process within one week per candidate.

Looking for a senior-level candidate similar to Bryan Roecker who can take on his current responsibilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Execute Kubernetes-related tasks directly at an expert level.
Manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
Work on automation scripting using PowerShell Bash or Python.
Provide support for Linux systems and container environments.
Collaborate across engineering and operations teams.
Participate in technical interviews assignments and solution design.

Required Skills:
Expert-level hands-on experience with Kubernetes (must be able to execute tasks directly).
Strong CI/CD pipeline experience using GitHub.
Infrastructure-as-code expertise with Terraform (non-negotiable).
Proficiency in automation languages: PowerShell Bash Python (2 out of 3 required).
Familiarity with Docker expected if proficient in Kubernetes.
Linux experience required.

Preferred Skills:
Cloud experience preferred in Azure but open to other platforms.
Exposure to Power Apps is a plus.
Experience working in highly collaborative technical teams.
Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to learn/grow.
