Job Description Summary:
The Network Engineer will be responsible for architecting designing and implementing enterprise-grade network solutions to support global retail and corporate environments ensuring reliable and secure connectivity across on-premises and cloud platforms. The role focuses heavily on Cisco Meraki SD-WAN and Palo Alto technologies with additional emphasis on scalability performance optimization and network security. The engineer will act as a technical lead guiding design best practices and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design enterprise network solutions for global operations and cloud connectivity.
- Lead the deployment and optimization of Cisco Meraki (wireless and switching).
- Design implement and manage Cisco SD-WAN solutions for high availability and performance.
- Secure network infrastructure using Palo Alto firewalls and Prisma Cloud.
- Build scalable routing/switching architectures (BGP OSPF OMP).
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align network design with application and business needs.
- Perform network assessments capacity planning and performance tuning.
- Develop and maintain detailed network documentation (topology configurations design standards).
- Evaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend enhancements.
- Act as technical lead and mentor junior engineers on projects.
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in network engineering focused on architecture and design in enterprise or retail environments.
- Expert-level knowledge of Cisco Meraki and SD-WAN.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls Panorama and security policy management.
- Strong grasp of routing/switching protocols (BGP OSPF OMP).
- Experience with cloud networking (Azure AWS) and hybrid environments.
- Proficient with network monitoring tools such as Meraki Dashboard SolarWinds and Cisco v Manage.
- Excellent analytical communication and documentation abilities.
- Preferred Certifications:
- Cisco: CCNP CMNA/CMNO
- Palo Alto: PCNSA PCNSE
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Cisco Meraki (wireless switching)
- Cisco SD-WAN
- Palo Alto Firewalls & Panorama.
- Routing Protocols (BGP OSPF OMP).
- Cloud Networking (Azure/AWS hybrid).
