Rotational Sales Consultant African Safari & Tours Company Cape Town
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Rotational Sales Consultant to join a leading African safari and tours company based in Cape Town. This role offers a salary of R30000 R35000 per month (negotiable depending on experience).
The Rotational Sales Consultant provides flexible high-quality support across the Sales team by stepping into the role of Sales Consultant during periods of leave peak demand or high-volume workflow. The role ensures continuity of service supports overall sales performance and helps embed best practices across the team.
Manage agent requests during periods of leave or peak demand ensuring no disruption to service
Handle itinerary amendments costing and delivery of accurate information within agreed turnaround times
Follow booking procedures as set out in operating manuals for properties vehicles and activities
Assist with quality assessments of sales files communication and processes to ensure accuracy and consistency
Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance service delivery and efficiency
Support the implementation and rollout of new processes systems and tools within the Sales team
Collaborate with managers and peers to identify areas for improvement and share best practices
Support colleagues during high workload periods
Share insights gained from quality assessments to improve overall team performance
Contribute ideas and solutions to enhance sales processes and guest/agent experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in sales travel consulting or reservations (DMC or luxury safari experience preferred)
Strong understanding of itinerary design costing and safari logistics
Proven ability to adapt quickly and manage different agent portfolios when covering colleagues
Experience with booking systems CRM and quality monitoring tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an agent-first mindset
Promote the Sales team as best-in-class in all external and internal interactions
Uphold and contribute to the companys reputation as a leading safari operator
Demonstrate company values including genuineness honesty quality commitment and care
Attendance at staff events during working hours is compulsory
Work Monday to Friday in the Cape Town office (08:00 17:00 including 1-hour lunch) with occasional overtime during peak periods
Flexibility to work alternative South African public holidays with time off in lieu
