Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Carry out installation alignment and fitting of mechanical components such as pumps valves pipe supports and rotating equipment.
Perform fabrication cutting grinding and drilling as required for offshore maintenance or modification works.
Support mechanical overhaul equipment dismantling and reassembly during shutdowns or dry-docking.
Ensure proper alignment and leveling of machinery using appropriate tools (dial gauges feeler gauges laser alignment tools).
Read and interpret engineering drawings mechanical schematics and fabrication sketches.
Assist welders riggers and other trades during multi-disciplinary activities.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Fitting or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in fitting or mechanical maintenance with at least 2 years in offshore or shipyard environments.
Experience in pump alignment piping fit-up and structural fitting preferred.
Familiar with offshore safety systems confined space and hot work procedures.
Valid offshore medical certificate and BOSIET / HUET certification (mandatory).
Required Skills:
Lifting supervisor requirements: 1. Lifting Supervisor TUV QP Certification 2. Medical Fitness to Work ( Qatar Energy approved) 3.
