Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Perform welding using processes such as SMAW FCAW GTAW or MIG as per project requirements.
Read and interpret engineering drawings welding symbols and WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).
Prepare welding joints including beveling cleaning fit-up and alignment.
Execute welds in various positions (flat horizontal vertical overhead) with proper control of heat input and penetration.
Inspect own work for quality and compliance prior to QC inspection.
Collaborate with fitters fabricators and supervisors to ensure accurate assembly and alignment.
Follow all HSE procedures PPE usage and permit-to-work (PTW) requirements.
Maintain welding equipment tools and work area in a safe and organized condition.
Report defective materials welding issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
