A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.We are seeking a Corporate Banking Analyst to join the Diversified Industrials Relationship Management Team for MUFGs Global Corporate & Investment Bank (GCIB) in New York NY.
GCIB is responsible for managing the Banks key domestic and international client relationships and main financing products. GCIB has a deep understanding of clients from a credit and strategic perspective enabling it to offer the right products. At the center of the client relationship the Relationship Management teams coordinate the commercial strategy as well as internal product partners (e.g. capital markets rates & currencies and transaction banking).
Job Summary:
In this role as an Analyst you will support developing new business together with relationship managers preparing capital committee presentations and structuring and closing loans in the diversified industrials sector. You will also maintain and service the existing portfolio as a Marketing addition you will represent the Bank in the targeted business community through participation in community affairs and the marketing of all the Banks products and services. The position will also require frequent monitoring and updates of the Salesforce database and management reporting.
Responsibilities:
Support senior bankers with lending proposals capital markets updates customer and industry research marketing material production coordination with product areas and other pitches to existing and prospective clients.
Assist Relationship Managers (RMs) with due diligence related to prospective client deals.
Follow and prepare sector materials including updating white papers on sector specific developments and evolution.
Prepare memos for capital committee that highlight the business rationale for leading or participating in revolving credit facilities term loans and other debt products.
Assist in documenting transactions.
Liaise with various product areas on GCIB transactions to help develop more extensive knowledge of MUFGs product capabilities. Integrate developing product knowledge into draft presentations and transaction memos.
Assist in developing a strategic and operational business plan for the department under the general guidelines provided by the Managing Director.
Promote sales and marketing activity to the target market assist RMs in new strategic area development.
Attend client meetings when appropriate to observe the RMs and develop working knowledge of relationship development and management.
Follow relationship development activities with clients and act as liaison with product areas to facilitate opportunities.
Assist in the loan closing process teams that include KYC funding and liquidity.
Support the Banks culture through ongoing customer contact quality customer service and superior product knowledge.
Skills & Experience:
1 years experience in U.S. banking and international markets with an emphasis on corporate credit analysis capital markets and/or Diversified Industrials coverage formal credit training is a decisive asset
Excellent interpersonal skills including business writing editing and proofreading
Advanced user of MS Excel Word and PowerPoint
Ideally experience in financial modelling and financial statement analysis
Knowledge of domestic and foreign financial markets and products including nonbanking financial institutions
Bachelors degree in Business Finance Economics or equivalent work experience
Compensation and benefits:
The typical base pay range for this role is between $100k-$110k depending on job-related knowledge skills experience and location with eligibility for discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
