Job Summary
Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Network Administrator with 35 years of experience to join our clients IT team. This hybrid role requires onsite presence in Morris IL Tuesday through Thursday with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. The ideal candidate will have strong Cisco networking expertise and a proactive mindset to support critical infrastructure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This role is contract to hire reporting onsite 3 days a week to our client location in Morris IL. The working hours will be Monday-Friday 6:30am-3pm.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain networking and telecommunication infrastructure including Cisco LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/ACI systems Cisco Voice Systems and Nurse Call Systems.
- Provide support for Cisco Call Manager (CUCM) including Jabber setup and basic troubleshooting.
- Configure and manage Cisco switches routers and firewalls; apply firewall rules and support security posture.
- Maintain documentation and inventory of network and telecom components.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for system maintenance and upgrades.
- Monitor network performance and generate statistical reports.
- Respond to urgent issues including after-hours support when necessary to ensure patient care is not impacted.
Required Qualifications:
- 35 years of experience in network administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment (switches routers firewalls).
- Working knowledge of Cisco Call Manager (CUCM) and Jabber setup.
- Familiarity with network security concepts and firewall rule management.
- Understanding of Cisco wireless systems.
- Ability to work independently and respond to urgent issues with professionalism.
- At least one certification: CCNA or CompTIA Network.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a can-do attitude

- Experience with Cisco ACI is preferred
- Project management experience is preferred
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Telecommunications or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working with network and communication vendors is preferred.

Compensation Range:
$30-45/hr
