QUALIFICATIONS
-Experience in social work or related field
-Bachelors degree in social work (preferred)
-Understanding of VA benefits ranging from eligibility qualifications to successful appeals and appropriate documentation.
-Experience working with families facing homelessness and those struggling with concurrent substance abuse or mental health issues.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain to clients family members and friends and professionals the case and care plan and maintain good case records
-Clean driving record
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists clients in developing goals and areas of need and long-term plans.
-Work collaboratively with clients families counselors and residential programs to ensure high-quality care
-Coordinate with third-party payors on a regular basis
