- Based in Melbourne CBD (Collins Street)
- You will attend full time training in the office (Monday to Friday) for approximately 6 months and then transition to hybrid working where you will work 3 days in the office and can work the remaining days from home
- This role will require full-time training over the Christmas period (not including the standard public holidays)
Whats the role As a Credit Assessor you will support the mortgage application process for applications received from our Third-Party Broker Network handling both simple and complex cases such as PAYG LMI Construction Guarantor Home Guarantee Scheme and more. Key responsibilities include: - Reviewing applications for accuracy and compliance with quality standards
- Assessing creditworthiness and serviceability while adhering to lending regulations
- Referring applications beyond credit guidelines to managers
- Building strong relationships with brokers by providing guidance and maintaining trust
- Ensuring audit compliance and quality standards are met to minimize risk
- Offering advice on application structuring credit policy and documentation.
What do I need - Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to liaise consult and advise internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Finance/banking background desirable
