Job Summary:
The Academic Affairs Analyst provides analytical expertise and operational support to the Academic Affairs division. Reporting to the Associate Provost this position is responsible for assisting with program evaluation data collection and analysis and reporting activities. The Analyst collaborates with various stakeholders to support academic assessment program review and accreditation processes and helps ensure effective use of data in decision-making.

Essential Functions:
  • Support the evaluation of new academic programs and the annual review of existing programs including conducting market research and tracking enrollment retention persistence and completion trends.
  • Coordinate Academic Program Review including the annual Academic Affairs Program Workshop.
  • Collect and analyze internal and external data to inform decision making in Academic Affairs.
  • Conduct statistical analyses and prepare clear actionable reports for Academic Affairs leadership.
  • Design administer and analyze surveys for Academic Affairs including annual evaluations of Academic Affairs leadership.
  • Serve as a liaison between Academic Affairs and Institutional Research.
  • Train and support Academic Affairs users in accessing and interpreting college data reports and dashboards.
  • Assist with academic assessment data collection and analysis.
  • Assist with external reporting requirements related to institutional and programmatic accreditation.
  • Stay up to date on emerging trends and best practices for academic assessment program evaluation and new program development.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Statistics or related field with emphasis on quantitative research methods.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with designing and conducting data analysis and research.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of experience in a similar position
  • Prior experience in higher education
  • Project management experience
