- Candidates must be able to teach all levels of mathematics (and laboratories if appropriate).

- Working knowledge of computers and computer software especially multimedia.
- A Masters Degree in Mathematics and/or a Doctorate Degree in field.
Rank:Appointment level to any faculty position is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Tenure and Promotion:Tenure and promotion are awarded based on a review by a college-wide committee of the candidates contributions to service pedagogy and scholarship.Key Responsibilities:
- Teaches assigned courses.
- Assists in curriculum development course reports and textbook selection.
- Uses instructional technology methods when presenting course content.
- Communicates effectively and efficiently with students.
- Provides written course syllabus which includes classroom policies procedures grading and learning outcomes.
- Uses appropriate and up-to-date course materials including learning objectives texts and supplementary teaching materials.
- Applies classroom management strategies in face to face hybrid and/or online format.
- Implements student assessment policies such as testing or observation of skills.
- Submits grades or other course assessment reports in a timely manner.
- Manages routine classroom responsibilities in a professional manner.
Professional Development:
- Participates in activities that advance professional competencies and teaching skills.
- Engages in activities that advance the teaching discipline or profession.
- Maintains or acquires appropriate or required certifications licensure or other professional credentials.
College Responsibilities and Service:
- Serving on department school and college-wide committees.
- Participating in the promotion and continuing contract process.
- Keeps scheduled office hours as required by the respective load formula for the purpose of academic advising.
- Records student attendance as necessary.
- Attends department division and college-wide academic functions.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of areas of discipline to be taught.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with students colleagues and supervisors.
- Ability to communicate clearly effectively and professionally through oral and written communications.
- Commitment to the community college mission innovative and effective teaching sustained and significant professional development and service to the College.
- Computer literacy and the ability to navigate in a Windows environment.
