Construction Project Manager

The Construction Project Manager will oversee the planning execution and completion of hospitality construction projects including food & beverage outlets hotels and attractions. This role involves coordinating with architects engineers contractors suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.

• Perform due diligence on proposed projects and collaborate with internal stakeholders for corporate approvals
• Create and manage Request for Proposals (RFP) for design teams and contractors
• Oversee project planning including scope budget timelines and resource allocation
• Lead and coordinate project teams ensuring smooth collaboration with architects engineers and contractors
• Manage budgets effectively control costs and present regular financial reports to senior management
• Track project schedules monitor progress and adjust as needed to meet deadlines
• Ensure quality standards by conducting site inspections and resolving issues promptly
• Identify and mitigate risks proactively addressing challenges during construction
• Serve as the main point of contact for all internal & external project-related communications
• Oversee procurement negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships
• Ensure compliance with provincial and national park regulations including health and safety standards

• Bachelors Degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering Architecture or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management preferably in the hospitality industry
• Experience working with projects in National Parks is preferred
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from inception to completion
• Overnight travel will be required several times per month
• Strong knowledge of construction processes materials and regulations
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Exceptional leadership and team management analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project Primavera AutoCAD)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This position can be based in Calgary Banff or the Bow Valley with the requirement to be on-site in Banff weekly to supervise projects. This is a one-year contract with the potential for extension.
