Network Engineer Corporate
Hybrid: 4:1
Location: Houston TX Office
Tokio Marine HCC a global power in the specialty insurance industry is seeking a Network Engineer with a passion for organization problem solving mindfulness and a drive to learn and grow with a world leading company in a unique industry.
Position Summary
Under supervision designs builds implements monitors and maintains moderately complex network systems and communications including but not limited to routers switches load-balancers firewalls network optimizers. Evaluates business and technical requirements and recommends network technologies that when employed will meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Design create install and configure current network server systems and repair server hardware.
Monitor maintain support and optimize all networked software and associated operating systems
Use knowledge of network and server operating systems to help design build and install internal and external networks.
Perform remedial maintenance of file servers and network devices including the restoration or hardware and software.
Test and evaluate network systems to ensure stability eliminate problems and make improvements.
Perform troubleshooting to correct issues.
Identify recommend develop implement and support cost-effective new or more effective technology solutions Assist in comparing vendors and costs to plan large scale system projects.
Collaborate with IT risk management and security to reduce business risk.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science related field or equivalent education/experience
- Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) certification strongly preferred.
- Working experience with Citrix VMware Dell servers and Microsoft technologies.
