Job Summary

He aha te tūranga - About the role:

The newly created Resource Planner roles will report into the Workforce Planning and Logistics Lead and will be responsible for rostering and scheduling tutors and resources to deliver our private and public training courses. This role is a critical connection between scheduling workforce availability and logistical coordinationbalancing customer needs tutor wellbeing and operational capacity.

You will:

  • Roster tutors and other delivery resources to meet scheduled training courses.
  • Coordinate resource planning to ensure upcoming courses are supported by the appropriate mix of tutors venues vehicles and equipment. Proactively align resource availability with course schedules identify gaps early and adjust plans to maintain smooth and effective delivery.
  • Respond to short-notice changes such as staff absences cancellations or urgent reassignments to minimise impact on learners and customers through cancellation.
  • Monitor tutor availability travel constraints and workload balance to ensure fair and efficient allocation.
  • Update systems and records accurately to reflect tutor assignments and resource commitments.

This is a full-time position fixed-term for 9 months. We are flexible on your location and you can be located anywhere in the motu.

What youll bring:

  • Qualification and/or formal training in workforce planning analytics or project management is desirable.
  • Proven experience in administrative scheduling and/or coordination roles.
  • Proficiency in workforce planning scheduling and rostering systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to present data-driven recommendations.
