Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for safely setting up and machining complex metal components to meet customer requirements adhering to drawing and print specifications.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate CNC lathes proficiently.
Utilize overhead cranes as needed for material handling.
Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers to ensure parts meet specified tolerances.
Read and interpret prints to ensure adherence to customer requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork motivational and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical arithmetic problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Capable of making sound decisions under pressure.
Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Vocational training or certification in CNC machining preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years of experience operating medium to large horizontal CNC lathes.
Preferably experienced with Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls.
Ability to perform basic programming using Mazatrol and Fanuc systems.
Experience working with long tubular components and maintaining tolerances of /-0.001.
Familiarity with nickel titanium super-alloys carbon and stainless steels.
Proficient in MS Office; competent in basic computer skills.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery and equipment noise.
Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Potential exposure to metalworking fluids and chemicals
HOURS: Night shift 10pm 6am with the ability to work overtime as needed.
