Winter 2025 Middle School Boys Basketball Coach (Seattle WA)
Stipend Term-Limited Position

The Bush School is in search of an individual to join our Athletic Department as the Middle School Basketball Coach. We are seeking a candidate who is able to support the schools mission of diversity and inclusion and who has a background that demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of intercultural fluency. We are building a team in which diversity of experiences backgrounds and talents are valued in order to work with a diverse community of students faculty staff and families. The Bush School athletic program works within the rules of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) and the CrossTown Middle School League to provide athletic opportunities and competition for students of all gender identities. While most sports are offered separately for boys and girls the Athletic Department staff is committed to working collaboratively with each participant to determine options that best suit each student-athletes journey.
In collaboration with the Athletic Department and other coaches the Middle School Coach will lead and assist with team practices coach all scheduled contests and drive the team to away games in a school vehicle. This position reports directly to the Associate Athletic Director.
The season runs from Monday October 27 2025 through Friday January 16 2026. Unless otherwise announced practices take place on Mondays Thursdays and Fridays from 2:003:30 p.m. either on campus or at locally rented gyms. Contests are typically scheduled on weekdays starting between 4:005:30 p.m. either at home or at the opponents gym. For off-campus practices and away contests coaches meet players at Bush travel together to the site and return to school at the end of the activity.
