- Lead H&S committee as committee President
- Actively participate in H&S programs and committee meetings
- Plan overall Safety Awareness initiatives with committee and execute safety improvement plans and safety toolbox
- Regular review on workplace and manpower safety aspects
- Perform required incident investigations and reporting if required
- Plan yearly Fire Evacuation exercise
- Zero Accident initiatives
People Management
- Build team capacity and cultivate a teamwork environment by working with the team on the ground
- Identify training requirement and ensure employees are adequately trained and competent within their role to ensure operational flexibility
- Coach 2nd liners in order that a common goal is focused upon and those business objectives are met consistently
- Planning managing and adjusting staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements within the warehouse
- Manage manpower resources effectively to support business requirements and learn on work arrangement
- Review staff performance on regular basis to identify gaps and team improvements
- Track staffs absenteeism sick leaves and timekeeping effectively
- Organise quarterly team bonding event eg: potluck sports day & etc
- Motivate team to achieve business target
Relationship Management
- Liaise with inter-departments effectively with effective communication
- Regular review with transporters on performance and improvements
- Work closely with related departments to executive sales and companywide plans
- Regular discussion with forwarding partner on import shipment arrangement
KPIs Management
- Ensure achieve DC KPIs and identify gaps
- Able to monitor gather data and analyse data for KPIs reporting
- Monthly KPIs reporting to Management with justification on non-comply KPIs
- Able to deep dive into KPIs and perform PDCA / Kaizen / LEAN to improve overall DC KPIs achievement
- Ownership of related KPIs and work with internal team to achieve the targets
- Organised weekly/ monthly team meeting to address operational planning and challenges
- Regularly review SOPs to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of daily operational processes
Cost Control
- Regular review on warehouse resources
- Approved overtime request based on operational requirements
- Review/ Approval on Schedule Work Shift (Daily and Saturdays)
- Monitor foreign worker performance and required headcounts
- Monitor warehouse packaging material usage and source for alternative for better costing
- Waste management including recycle materials
Reporting
- Weeky Meeting - Retail & E-Commerce
- Monthly SDM Management Meeting
- DC headcount cost/Cost per Unit
- DC Transportation cost
- MYDC KPIs reporting
- Pending PL to load
Other Responsibilities
- Handle ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by Line Manager or/and Management
Qualifications :
Requirements:
- Must possess at least a Bachelors Degree in Warehouse & Logistics Management Business or a related field
- Have a minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on experience in warehousing & logistics preferably within the sports retail industry
- Strong understanding of warehouse & logistics management activities shipments & manpower management
- Strong analytical skills with high numerical accuracy
- Excellent leadership negotiation and suppliers relationship management skills
- Exceptional operational and coordination skills
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
