We are seeking compassionateDirect Support Professionals to assist children ages 12-21 with disabilities behavioral or medical complexities in our residential program.
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP/Caregiver) you will support children with activities that focus on increasing their independence. As a DSP/Caregiver you will work with children to provide coaching supervision and role modeling life skills. The job may also include transportation medication administration meal preparation and assistance with personal cares.
Qualifications :
- Valid drivers license required
- 6 months of professional work experience supporting vulnerable populations required (ex. caregiver nanny paraeducator direct support professional etc.)
- 6 months of volunteer experience may be used in lieu of professional work experience.
- Must be 21 years of age or older per Washington state licensing requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Good communication is key in this role. Youll rely on your reading writing and communication skills to document care follow support plans and collaborate with both internal and external team members.
