We are seeking a Capital Project & Maintenance Supervisor to join our chemical plant operations team. This role combines maintenance management project leadership and team supervision to ensure safe efficient and cost-effective operations within the plant. The successful candidate will manage both employees and contractors while supporting plant operations through strategic maintenance planning and capital project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance employees and contractors including performance management scheduling and conflict resolution
- Plan schedule and execute maintenance activities using SAP including daily maintenance and plant shutdowns
- Support capital projects from Front End Loading (FEL) through construction and commissioning
- Implement Management of Change (MOC) processes for projects and improvements
- Develop detailed work scopes job sequences labor estimates and bills of materials
- Procure materials equipment and services while managing project budgets and timelines
- Create installation and repair procedures and build job kits
- Analyze data to identify root causes and implement corrective measures
- Support technical training for operations teams
- Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety programs and regulations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum 3 years of experience in chemical production environment
- Demonstrated experience managing employees and capital projects
- Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management and ISO 9000/QS 9001 quality systems
- Proficiency with SAP maintenance planning and scheduling
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple assignments
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Forklift operation capability
- Ability to create piping diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management certification
- Six Sigma or LEAN Manufacturing experience
- Six Sigma training or equivalent Quality certification.
