Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join our Remediation team in the Buffalo New York office. The successful candidate will work on a wide variety of projects assigned from our Environment Water and Transportation business lines. The successful candidate will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering professional consulting services to our key clients. 

The successful candidate will provide technical skills on projects within the department and will develop strong relationships with the team and clients to enable the pursuit of new opportunities. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team clients site personnel and office management and work both independently and as part of a project team. 

The successful candidate will be committed to the teams success and growth; will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures; will manage the technical cost and schedule elements of project delivery; and will effectively manage the quality of project deliverables within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System. 

The job responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform as a senior resource for CAD drafting/modeling at the project level.
  • Prepare high-quality design deliverables.
  • Perform CAD drafting/modeling in a manner which adheres to accepted engineering practices and standards as well as company and client standards.
  • Assist in the development implementation and deployment of CAD drafting/modeling and survey standards on an office level.
  • Assist in the training and development of other CAD professionals.
  • Working closely with design professionals at a project level to produce deliverables with minimal supervision.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid U.S Drivers License and as a condition of employment must pass AECOMs Motor Vehicle Records Review

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree in engineering Design Environmental Science or related field
  • 7 years of experience working in an environmental consulting firm
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D Microstation and OpenRoads.
  • Experience with survey and grading design.
  • Experience with REVIT.
  • Experience with BIM. Able to produce construction documents in BIM environments from start to finish with limited assistance.
