Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Oran Park this role you will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations leading our crew and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in day-to-day operations and decision-making
- Lead and motivate the restaurant team fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Oversee staff training and development ensuring high standards of customer service
- Manage inventory stock control and basic financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean safe working environment
- Handle customer inquiries feedback and complaints professionally and efficiently
- Support the implementation of marketing initiatives and promotional activities
- Contribute to menu planning and pricing strategies
- Assist in scheduling and rostering to maintain optimal staffing levels
- Step in to perform various roles within the restaurant as needed during busy periods
Qualifications :
- 1-3 years of experience in restaurant supervision or management
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Exceptional customer service skills and a guest-focused mindset
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-energy environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using POS systems and basic reporting tools
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Basic financial management skills including budgeting and cost control
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required
- Food Handler and/or Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A passion for food and hospitality industry trends
