Aerial Lift Safety Attendants (Scissor Lift Operations Ohio Region)

Overview:

CMI is hiring for Aerial Lift Safety Attendants to support safe scissor lift operations on a construction projects in Ohio. These individuals will serve as spotters and safety monitors ensuring lift operators can maneuver safely in dynamic work environments.

This role is ideal for those with a working knowledge of construction safety practices especially around Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) even if they are not credentialed safety professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a dedicated spotter during scissor lift operations
Maintain constant visual and verbal communication with lift operators
Monitor the surroundings for obstacles overhead hazards and ground-level risks
Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately
Support compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety protocols

Preferred certifications and credentials:

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
MEWP Familiarization or Spotter Safety Training
Previous experience on active construction sites

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk continuously for up to 10 hours
Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions (hot cold rain etc.)
Able to maintain focus in high-traffic or noisy environments
Occasional lifting of materials or equipment (up to 30 lbs) may be required
Ability to perform visual inspections and hand signals at a distance

Payrate: $30-$35 per hour based on the credentials and experience.
