What will you be doing
An exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on advanced energy systems in Loughborough. This role involves designing modelling and integrating mechanical assemblies contributing to both prototype development and system layout. Youll be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering innovative solutions in complex high-performance systems.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Design and develop jigs fixtures and test rigs supporting prototype builds
- Create concept and detailed 3D models for mechanical components and assemblies
- Plan and execute cable and piping routing within assemblies
- Integrate multiple components into space-constrained systems ensuring proper fit functionality and manufacturability
- Ensure all designs comply with safety functionality and manufacturing requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical and innovative mechanical solutions

- Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
