About the Role:
The Administrator II supports King Countys Wastewater Treatment Division by ensuring smooth compliant and efficient operations across our regional treatment plants. This role drives key initiatives such as developing a system to track environmental compliance leading document management improvements and supporting the Operations Manager by providing high-level administrative analyzing data and coordinating contracts and projects the Administrator II enables the team to focus on protecting public health safeguarding the environment and delivering valuable community resources like reclaimed water and renewable energy.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems improving systems and making a direct impact on environmental compliance and operational excellence. Through collaboration with diverse teams and engagement with innovative projects the position advances the Divisions mission of sustainability and equity while contributing to community well-being.

Job Duties

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Administrative Leadership & Support - Provide high-level administrative support to the section manager and staff. Offer communication and document support including drafting formatting editing and distributing materials. Support development of work plans and strategic initiatives.
  • Project Coordination & Management Assist leadership in managing ongoing projects and operational requests by creating tracking tools reports and documentation to support project goals. Participate and perform tasks for projects such as Electronic Document Records Management.
  • Compliance & Data Management - Develop and maintain a system to track compliance due dates and action owners. Analyze and summarize data from research projects and technical systems. Ensure all correspondence and reports to directors and external agencies meet QA/QC standards.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation - Identify opportunities to optimize work processes and implement improvements. Support digitization projects and enhance document and data management systems.
  • Other Duties as Assigned - Perform additional tasks as needed to support the section division and organizational objectives.

Experience Qualifications Knowledge Skills

Qualifications You Bring:

  • Advanced experience (at least five years) of increasingly responsible office or administrative support experience.
  • Advanced experience with Oracle Visio and SharePoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical organizational & project management skills.
  • Advanced document & data management experience.

Required Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid/Unrestricted Washington State Drivers License

  • Work Location:South Treatment Plant -1200 Monster Road SW Renton Washington98057.

  • Work Schedule:This full-time position works a 40-hour work week Monday-Friday. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.

  • Union Representation:This position is represented byTeamsters Local 117Wastewater Treatment Division Professional & Technical andAdministrative Support.

    • NOTE: Salary reflects $1.00 per hour contribution to the Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust.
