Are you a passionate vocal educator who loves inspiring students through the power of music The Cathedral School is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Voice Instructor to join our performing arts team to help students discover develop and celebrate their unique voices. If you love working with children understand the science of the voice and know how to make learning fun expressive and transformative we want to hear from you.

As the part-time term-time Voice Instructor at The Cathedral School youll work with students across various age groups and skill levels delivering high-quality vocal instruction that builds technique confidence and musical expression. Youll play a key role in school performances choirs and musical productions helping students shine on stage and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging vocal lessons to students from beginner to advanced levels both in individual and group lessons tailored to student needs.
  • Conduct choir rehearsals with a focus on vocal technique and performance skills.
  • Prepare students for school performances competitions and examinations.
  • Collaborate with performing arts staff on school events and productions.
  • Foster a supportive inclusive and creative learning environment.

What were looking for:

  • Formal training in vocal performance or music education.
  • Experience in coaching children and/or adolescents in singing.
  • Current First Aid and CPR.
  • Valid current Blue Card (Working with Children check).
  • A love for teamwork and excellent communication skills.

All staff at Cathedral are expected to support the philosophies of the School must either hold or be able to obtain a Blue Card and/or be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers.
