Boston University seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Staffing Specialist to play a key role in attracting and hiring top talent across the University. This position is responsible for ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience from initial contact to Staffing Specialist will manage all stages of the recruitment process including screening candidates conducting reference checks assessing qualifications making recommendations to hiring managers extending offers and initiating onboarding for new hires. They will also monitor the completion of hiring processes in partnership with assigned business and academic units to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Working collaboratively with the Recruitment and Talent Operations teams the Staffing Specialist will contribute to Boston Universitys overall talent acquisition strategy helping to build and maintain a strong diverse workforce that supports the Universitys mission and values.
Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in web-based recruiting tools applicant tracking systems and other candidate management databases.
Proven experience in recruiting or staffing high-quality candidates.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Solid knowledge of HR processes systems and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software applications.
3-5 years of professional level experience in recruitment and/or staffing. Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of training education and relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Familiarity with Silkroad/Rival Recruiting and SAP and preferred.
