OVERVIEW:

A Tube World Attendant is the ambassador of Tube World Cataloochee Ski Areas snow tubing park in Maggie Valley ensuring our guests have a safe and memorable experience. Youll be responsible for maintaining a positive and professional image while continually striving to exceed guest expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet guests in a positive and friendly manner.
Assist guests with the proper operation of the lift including how to enter ride and exit the conveyor lift safely.
Help customers with any special needs and accommodate requests to the best of your ability.
Educate guests on safety procedures for the tubing hill including the safest ways to ride the tubes.
Maintain the snow around the entrance and exit of the lift tubing lanes staging areas and exits (including shoveling and placement of rubber deceleration mats).
Assist guests by pulling/pushing tubes as they go down the lanes.
Participate in snow-making operations.
Handle housekeeping tasks including daily bathroom maintenance and cleaning of the grounds.
Assist other departments as needed.
Maintain a working knowledge of the facility and follow daily opening and closing checklists.
Set up and break down the tube hill (e.g. pulling out and putting away tubes).
Interact with guests and fellow employees in a positive manner.
Help train new or less experienced staff members.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

Experience in the ski industry or similar outdoor activities.
Ability to communicate expectations clearly.
Commitment to delivering high-quality guest service.
Competence in snowmaking and grooming.
Ability to follow both written and verbal directions.
Comfortable working with your hands and being safety-conscious.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in a mobile capacity.
Ability to work in cold and inclement conditions often around snow cats and snowmaking equipment.
Must be able to hear and speak clearly for communication via radios and telephones.
The job may require climbing hiking pushing pulling kneeling sitting and standing.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more as well as stretch reach and rotate.
A criminal background check will be conducted after a position is accepted in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Compensation: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
