Essential Functions

Perform calibrations repairs and validations of laboratory equipment to ISO 17025 standards.

Troubleshoot issues with equipment using various tools such as multimeters thermometers process calibrators.

Complete all documentation associated with service order.

Develop calibration procedures to meet the customer requirements while supporting traceability of the measurements.

Maintain all equipment and standards per SOPs.

Calibration Services Autoclaves Balances calipers floor and RTtop centrifuges peristaltic pumps pressure and vacuum gauges magnahelic gauges data loggers shakers and CO2 incubators.

PM services Able to perform a PM on all above equipment.

General Repairs to equipment

Other tasks as directed.

Requirements

2 or more years technical field experience with a proven track record of technical resolutions.

1 or more years laboratory related experience required

Calibration experience in multiple disciplines (temperature pressure speed mass etc.).

Refrigeration experience required.

Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 ISO 9001 and OSHA preferred but not required.

Any technical mechanics (HVAC motors electrical etc.) experience preferred

Strong time management and task management abilities

Able to effectively complete tasks and work independently with minimal supervision

Work Environment

Small-to-large office environment.

Fast paced work environment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.

Regularly exposed to dust odors oil fumes cleaning products and noise.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to perform the following repetitive movements: stand walk sit handle or feel objects tools or controls reach with hands and arms climb stairs balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl talk or hear. Ability to stand walk and sit for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of office and facilities equipment (cleaning products tools and ladders) and trash and the ability to safely use equipment provided. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Climb a ladder to perform repairs.
