Part-Time Safety and Facility Support Associate

1. Respond to emergent or escalating situations as a part of a team to promote de-escalation safety and indicated follow-up.
2. Proactively respond to situations with a goal of preventing an emergent or escalating situation.
3. Promote the safety and well-being of our staff and consumers by supporting entry and exit from the building waiting area space and outside grounds/parking lot through following agency procedures.
4. Daily review of the building and grounds for any upkeep repairs or hazards communication and support of the resolution of repairs and hazards.
5. Submission of work orders for repairs or other appropriate maintenance in response to anything identified from #4 above.
6. Support Facilities Support Specialist with facility needs as requested.
7. Complete formal quarterly facility safety checklist.
8. Assist with quarterly/annual fire and emergency drills for facility.
9. Assist with Front Desk coverage as needed.
10. Cleaning of the building and grounds as needed to support high client volume or as needed to support other facility support staff being out.
11. Receive packages that come into the facility and deliver to staff within building.
12. Assist with vehicle maintenance and upkeep taking vehicles for maintenance DMV or to support program needs.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Two or more years working in a safety/security role. Experience cleaning in a business environment. Valid drivers license in good standing and experience with local and highway driving.
• Skills and Abilities: Good oral communication skills. Ability to create a warm caring non-threatening atmosphere. Willingness to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Possesses an understanding of professional ethics and issues of confidentiality. Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team. Drivers license and record in good standing.

• Work Environment/Physical Demands: The individual must possess the ability to perform work that requires frequent standing bending reaching squatting kneeling moving and lifting of up to or in excess of 50 pounds.
