UPHS Marquette is a 222 bed hospital in Marquette MI and houses the regions only Level II Trauma Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). How youll contribute

The Revenue Integrity Specialist is responsible for handling the payer enrollment process for the medical staff throughout the complete process and maintaining communication to ensure the current credentials and licenses remain current.

Qualifications and requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required. College education or 2 years experience preferred>
Must have experience using Microsoft Office programs (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint)
Must be able to communicate effectively and be able to multi-task.

2 years of clerical experience preferred

Essential functions:

  • Serve as liaison with Administration Medical Staff Managers and HSC enrollment
  • Communicate effectively with providers and administration
  • Initiate and maintain provider enrollment
  • Identify any new payer enrollment requirements
  • Educate Manager/Staff on the payer requirements for claim processing
  • Process payer denials related to provider enrollment
  • Maintains established hospital and departmental policies and procedures objectives performance improvement program safety environment of care management of information and infection control standards.

  • Complies with federal and state law and accrediting and licensing agencies at all times to include but not limited to TJC and federal compliance regulations.

  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in education programs current literature inservice meetings and professional conferences.
