Adjunct Instructor - English
Fisher College a private four-year institution located in the Back Bay district of Boston is currently seeking to hire an adjunct instructor to teach three (03) English courses (03 sections of English II) for the Spring 2026 semester. The courses will run from January 12. 2026 through May. Instruction will take place in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays with class times scheduled from 9:45 AM to 11:00 AM 11:15 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:15 PM to 3:30 PM. Additional responsibilities include training course preparation grading and student communication.
In this first-year course students apply critical reading writing and critical thinking skills to analyze and develop ideas in written and oral forms. Through interdisciplinary reading assignments a series of papers a research paper and an oral presentation students will evaluate and formulate their own arguments in response to ideas presented in class.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a masters degree in English or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in teaching college-level English is preferred
- Familiarity with WebAssign is desirable.
- Experience with Canvas is preferred.
