Job Summary
Purpose of role
We are looking for someone to join our dynamic Group Finance team to support the Head of Technical Accounting and External Reporting in driving improvements to Dysons financial close and statutory accounting processes and ensuring statutory filing compliance globally. As the business expands and evolves we are looking for someone who is enthused by changes and key to drive and implement improvements.
This is a new role within the Group and will provide you with the opportunity to drive forward how the Dyson Group enhances the integrity of our financial reporting processes globally. You will work closely with the Group Finance teams based in Singapore and UK along with the local market finance directors executives and other senior stakeholders as well as the Dyson Business Services teams in Poland India and Asia Pacific.
We are looking for someone who has financial reporting and statutory accounting experience and enjoys communicating with a wide range of different teams and people.
Accountabilities
Support the development of the Groups accounting policies
Independently collaborate with markets and support functions to ensure compliance to the Groups accounting policies
Provision of accounting advice and the drafting of technical accounting papers
Lead key projects to ensure accounting accuracy from a financial reporting and statutory accounting perspective
Provide oversight and support to local teams to ensure that we meet compliance deadlines for all our statutory filing requirements
Support the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely closes
Skills
Qualified accountant (CA CPA ACCA or local equivalent)
Good accounting knowledge in SFRS and/or IFRS
Experience in dealing with accounting close and financial reporting
Experience in handling external audits and financial statements preparation
Strong interpersonal skills including communication across a global set of stakeholders
Flexible in approach with good organisational and prioritisation skills
Self-starter proactive and able to quickly grasp issues with a mindset to drive change and improvements
High levels of integrity accuracy and attention to detail
Logical mind-set and a problem solver
A strong appetite to drive and embed change across the organisation
Desirable
Experience with SAP S4 Hana and One Stream
