Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking to fill the Arizona Correctional Industries (ACI) Financial Executive position. This position is responsible for managing the generation presentation auditing and reporting of all ACI financial information. Establishing sound financial internal controls policies and addition to establishing and monitoring the annual budget and business performance.

Job Duties:

- Establishes and monitors the annual budget
- Establishes internal controls policies and procedures
- Monitors business performance with sophisticated tracking tools
- Prepares detailed reports charting KPI performance and establishes corrective measures
- Forecasts the development of new products programs and vocational contracts for ACI
- Conducts ROI analysis and oversees strategic planning initiatives
- Assumes special activities and responsibilities as dictated by ACI Executive Management
- Manages the purchasing for the majority of raw materials supplies and equipment for ACI
- Oversees ACIs accounting division to include billing credit and collections accounts payable inmate payroll inventory control work in progress and finished goods inventory
- Directs ACIs Information Technology (IT) systems and team to maintain a healthy accounting system to ensure accurate reporting and maintain efficient processes for continuous improvement
- Oversees the development maintenance and approval of all ACI product costing including production parts accounting and the final pricing
- Manages the maintenance of all ACI Fixed Asset records
- Maintains the data for the Management and eligible staff Industrial Sales Incentive Plans
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Selective Preference(s):

- Bachelors in Accounting and/or Masters Degree in Business Administration or Accounting with five (5) years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and a drug test.

If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).

In an effort to maintain a safe environment all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).

Retirement:

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
