About the Role:

Our Test Development team is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer in Test who will provide direction and leadership on test automation strategy and processes at Abacus Insights. This person will play a critical role in designing and implementing test automation frameworks and defining acceptance criteria for multiple test types (including performance testing and recommending best practices for testing tools). This technical leadership role will work across various applications and technologies in collaboration with teams across the business.

Your day to day:

• Define test strategies for Abacus products covering design implementation and maintenance of test cases for functional end-to-end and performance testing.
• Develop test suites aligned with best practices and standards.
• Ensure software quality through continuous and iterative testing.
• Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
• Create and maintain automation test cases and CI/CD pipelines using Python.
• Work with complex data applications developed on Azure and AWS platforms.

What you bring to the team:

• 5 years in Quality Assurance for software platforms preferably cloud systems.
• 2 years in software development.
• 2 years working with FHIR databases and standards including FHIR API testing.
• Strong understanding of Software Lifecycle and QA processes for manual and automated testing.
• Expertise in Azure and AWS platforms.
• Knowledge of healthcare standards.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Creating and maintaining frameworks using pytest JUnit or similar.
• Database systems (MongoDB SQL MySQL) and data validation.
• Microservices architecture container management API gateways and tools like Kubernetes.
