Job Summary

THE ROLE AND THE TEAM

As a Data Engineer in Data Management you will play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of Zalandos central data platform. Together we build secure scalable and efficient solutions making Zalandos petabytes of data easily reusable and accessible to all our internal users. Your primary focus will be designing developing and maintaining high-performance data pipelines for our data governance products.

WHAT WED LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

Work within Zalandos central Data Management team responsible for data management services across the entire Zalando group.
Follow Data Mesh principles and collaborate with diverse teams of talented engineers data scientists and analysts to grow and drive innovation in data management and data governance activities bringing to life Zalandos data strategy.
Closely collaborate with Product Managers in our team to identify potentials to optimise our data governance products and data quality processes and tools.
Provide self-service and automated data quality processes for the Zalando central data quality platform reducing manual intervention and improving overall efficiency.
Facilitate decision making by writing carefully crafted narrative documents which clearly communicate the rationale in an easily digestible and professional manner.
Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.

WED LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

You have 4 years of professional experience in software design operational excellence and analytical problem-solving.
Are experienced with the AWS ecosystem including S3 Redshift and AWS role and token management.
Experienced in Databricks (PySpark Python Workflows) Delta format REST APIs.
Communication and collaboration: share your knowledge grow from feedback communicate with empathy.
You thrive in a collaborative fast-paced environment and are adept at managing multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.
