Key Responsibilities:

The Controller will be responsible for leading the financial operations of the company including accounting budgeting financial reporting internal controls and compliance with state regulations. This individual must have a strong background in finance and accounting preferably in highly regulated or manufacturing environments and must be an effective communicator and team leader. Operate monitor and maintain closed-loop hydrocarbon extraction systems (e.g. Precision ETS Luna or comparable).

• Oversee the companys accounting operations including the production of financial reports maintenance of accounting records and implementation of a comprehensive set of controls.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and local cannabis regulations and financial reporting requirements.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Manage cash flow forecasting budgeting and long-term financial planning.
• Coordinate audits and ensure timely filing of tax returns and regulatory filings.
• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with department heads to monitor financial performance and guide strategic decision-making.
• Supervise mentor and develop a finance and accounting team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or business administration preferred. CPA CMA or MBA a bonus.
• Minimum 10 years progressive experience in accounting/finance including 3 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role.
• Prior experience in a regulated industry (cannabis pharmaceuticals alcohol etc.) is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP internal controls and financial compliance.
• Exceptional management leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in financial software and ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar preferred.
• High level of integrity professionalism and attention to detail.
• Must be eligible to work in the cannabis industry under Florida regulations.
