About the Role:
We arelooking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Java Backend Developerto join a fast-paced agile team at a leading fintech company. The idealcandidate will be hands-on with backend development and capableof contributing to the architecture design and delivery of scalablemicroservices and cloud-native applications.
This rolerequires deep technical expertise strong problem-solving skillsand the ability to work independently as well as in acollaborativeenvironment. The position offers flexibility with remote work within Sweden and preference will be given to candidates based in or nearStockholm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designdevelop and maintain scalable and high-performing backend
- servicesusing Java and Spring Boot.
- Implement microservices architecture and integratesystems using RESTful
- APIs andmessaging platforms like Kafka.
- Work on cloud-based deployment using AWS withcontainerization via
- Dockerand orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Write robust unit and integration tests usingJUnit and Mockito.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps and otherengineering teams for CI/CD andproduction releases using tools like Git Maven Jenkins etc.
- Participate in technical design discussions andhelp drive technical
- decisions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in codequality testing and
- automation.
- Engage in code reviews documentation andknowledge sharing across the
- team.
- Perform live coding during the interview as partof the selection
- process.
Requirements:
- 5 years ofprofessional experience in Java backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and SpringBoot.
- Solid understanding of Microservices architectureand REST APIs.
- Production-level experience with DockerKubernetes and AWS.
- Experience working with messaging systems likeKafka.
- Proficient in writing automated tests using JUnitand Mockito.
- Familiarity with build and version control tools:Maven Git Jenkins.
- Experience working in agile development teams.
- Comfortable working in remote/distributed teamenvironments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in the fintech orfinancial services domain.
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaborationskills.
- Based in or near Stockholm though not mandatory.
