Part-time Year 5 Teacher | Primary School in Gravesend | January 2026

A friendly and ambitious primary school in Gravesend is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a part-time permanent basis (3 days per week) starting January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated practitioner to make a meaningful impact on pupil learning and progress within Key Stage 2.

You will be joining a supportive staff team committed to delivering high-quality teaching fostering pupils confidence and promoting a love of learning. The role offers the chance to work collaboratively while shaping the educational experiences of Year 5 learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan prepare and deliver engaging differentiated lessons for Year 5 pupils
• Foster a positive inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and well-being
• Monitor and assess pupil progress providing constructive feedback to inform next steps
• Collaborate with colleagues across Key Stage 2 to share best practice and support pupil outcomes
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support home learning
• Contribute to wider school life including events assemblies and enrichment activities

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 ideally Year 5
• Excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations
• Strong classroom management communication and organisational skills
• Passionate about teaching engaging learning and supporting pupils personal development
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to the school community
