Inspire Performance and Creativity in a High-Achieving South East School Start January 2026

We are seeking an enthusiastic skilled and committed Drama Teacher to join the successful Performing Arts faculty at a high-achieving secondary school/academy in Surrey.

This is a Full-Time Permanent Position starting in January 2026 (or sooner).

  • Teach Drama across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 (GCSE/A-Level/BTEC)

The Opportunity

The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective Drama specialist dedicated to delivering engaging and rigorous practical and theoretical lessons. This is an excellent opportunity to teach within a well-resourced department and contribute significantly to the schools vibrant extra-curricular programme including directing school productions clubs and performances.

This is a dedicated classroom teacher role within a supportive department. The school is committed to continuous staff development offering excellent mentoring and CPD for all staff and pathways for those who aspire to take on future leadership responsibilities (TLR).

We Are Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • A proven track record as an excellent Drama Teacher with the ability to confidently teach GCSE and A-Level Drama and Theatre Studies (or BTEC equivalent).
  • Strong subject knowledge across performance practitioners and theatre history.
  • Experience leading and directing extra-curricular performances is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for the subject and the ability to inspire high levels of engagement and confidence across a diverse student body.
  • A collaborative mindset committed to contributing positively to departmental planning and school life.

Salary and Benefits

  • Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for England (Excluding London) (currently 32916 - 51048 for 2025/2026).
