Job Summary

The Opportunity
A welcoming and high-achieving secondary academy in Northamptonshire is seeking a motivated Religious Education Teacher to join its Humanities faculty from January 2026. This full-time permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher to begin their teaching journey in a supportive and forward-thinking environment where professional growth is actively encouraged.

What Were Looking For
We are seeking a teacher who:

  • Holds QTS PGCE or will be newly qualified in 2026
  • Has a strong academic background in Religious Education Philosophy or Ethics
  • Can plan and deliver engaging lessons that encourage reflection curiosity and critical thinking
  • Uses assessment and feedback to support all students to make progress
  • Is eager to learn collaborate and contribute to a positive departmental culture

An interest in pastoral care enrichment activities or leading discussion groups on moral and social issues would be an advantage.

The Role in More Detail
You will teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4 using creative and engaging approaches to help students explore faith morality and philosophy. You will assess and track progress effectively ensuring that every student is challenged and supported appropriately.

You will contribute to departmental planning curriculum development and enrichment activities such as debates cultural events and discussion forums. As you develop in your role you will have the opportunity to take part in wider school initiatives and leadership development pathways.
