Job Summary

Principal Software Engineer - React and PostgreSQL

On-site in Plano TX - NO REMOTE. NO HYBRID
Salary Range: $175000 - $190000
Bonus Potential: 15%

Lead the technical direction and innovation of software development delivering high-quality scalable applications. Drive microservices architecture using React and PostgreSQL mentor engineers and align solutions with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Define scalable maintainable architectural vision using React and PostgreSQL.
Design and implement high-quality full-stack features ensuring adherence to coding standards.
Enforce best practices for code quality unit/end-to-end testing and documentation.
Mentor engineering teams fostering technical growth and continuous learning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design product QA) to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Lead complex technical projects architectural discussions and design reviews.
Drive process improvements and evaluate emerging technologies for applicability.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
5 years in software development with expertise in microservices architecture RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
Proficiency in React JavaScript/TypeScript HTML/CSS and PostgreSQL; familiarity with MongoDB/Redis.
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) DevOps and containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
Deep knowledge of software design principles database design and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent communication and analytical skills to resolve technical issues and convey complex concepts.
Experience collaborating with UI/UX designers for cross-browser compatible implementations.

Note: This is a technical leadership role not a people management position. Emphasis is on scalable microservices design and compliance with best practices.
