Wooptix is a semiconductor wafer metrology innovator that provides the fastest most accurate in-line measurements with the highest lateral resolution. Through its use of wavefront phase imaging (WFPI) a proprietary technique derived from research in adaptive optics its systems measure the shape uniformity nanotopography and roughness of the entire silicon wafer in a single image. About the role

We are seeking a Junior Optical Engineer to join our SEBI Camera team and support the development of innovative optical and optomechanical systems. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who wants to gain hands-on experience in optical design simulation and laboratory work while contributing to real-world engineering projects in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the design and simulation of optical and optomechanical systems.

• Develop and maintain scripts for image processing and analysis under supervision.

• Participate in the assembly testing and characterization of optical prototypes.

• Assist with laboratory management including inventory control and data organization.

• Collaborate with senior engineers and researchers on experimental setups and documentation.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelors degree in Physics Optical Engineering Telecommunications or a related field (required).

• Basic programming skills in Python MATLAB or similar scientific environments.

• Familiarity with optical simulation tools (e.g. Zemax COMSOL) or strong motivation to learn them.

• Understanding of basic image processing concepts and techniques.

• Participation in academic or extracurricular projects related to optics or photonics.

• Curiosity problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Good communication skills in both Spanish and English.
