Location: Gainesville FL 32601
Shift: Evenings: 11:00 AM 11:00 PM (Friday Saturday Sunday)
Job Type: Permanent
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team in Gainesville FL. The successful candidate will perform CT imaging procedures ensuring high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform computed tomography (CT) procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients correctly for imaging explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Operate CT equipment and adjust settings to obtain optimal images.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and infection control policies.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to support diagnosis and treatment.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance when necessary.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with imaging technology and techniques.
Qualifications:
- One year of CT experience REQUIRED. Acute care experience is NOT necessary.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) & (CT) registry preferred.
- Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist.
- Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology School.
