About the Role:
A leading marine electronics company in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced Marine Electronics Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for a candidate with hands-on experience in marine electronic systems audio/video integration navigation and communication technology on yachts and vessels. The technician will install maintain and troubleshoot high-end marine electronics while ensuring top-quality service and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Install maintain and troubleshoot marine electronic systems including:

  • Navigation systems.
  • Communication systems (VHF LTE/5G Internet satellite communication).
  • Audio/Video systems.
  • Network and security systems on yachts and vessels.
  • Read and interpret AutoCAD designs and technical schematics.
  • Perform on-site inspections and maintenance for new builds refits and system upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with NMEA standards and certifications during installations and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed including photos and project notes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate technical solutions to clients clearly.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with marine electronics systems yacht networks or marine audio/video systems.
  • NMEA certification preferred; strong troubleshooting skills required.
  • Must own tools a reliable vehicle and have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening.
  • Must reside in the Broward County FL area.
  • Ability to work some travel assignments as required.
