About the Role:
A leading marine electronics company in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced Marine Electronics Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for a candidate with hands-on experience in marine electronic systems audio/video integration navigation and communication technology on yachts and vessels. The technician will install maintain and troubleshoot high-end marine electronics while ensuring top-quality service and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Install maintain and troubleshoot marine electronic systems including: - Navigation systems.
- Communication systems (VHF LTE/5G Internet satellite communication).
- Audio/Video systems.
- Network and security systems on yachts and vessels.
- Read and interpret AutoCAD designs and technical schematics.
- Perform on-site inspections and maintenance for new builds refits and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with NMEA standards and certifications during installations and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed including photos and project notes.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate technical solutions to clients clearly.
Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of experience with marine electronics systems yacht networks or marine audio/video systems.
- NMEA certification preferred; strong troubleshooting skills required.
- Must own tools a reliable vehicle and have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background and drug screening.
- Must reside in the Broward County FL area.
- Ability to work some travel assignments as required.
