A growing financial technology innovator is on a mission to make global payments simpler faster and more cost-effective.
Were looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to help design and build the robust infrastructure. Youll play a key role in shaping the companys technical foundationleading end-to-end projects designing APIs and developing scalable back-end services that process transactions securely and efficiently.
Youll work closely with the founding team product leads and technical partners to solve complex challenges that sit at the intersection of travel payments and technology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable back-end services (primarily using FastAPI / Python)
- Integrate with leading payment processors
- Contribute to architecture for multi-tenant multi-currency systems
- Champion code quality testing and clear documentation
- Collaborate on key infrastructure and architecture decisions
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Have to reside in Cape Town
- 6 years experience building production-ready back-end systems
- Strong Python development skills (FastAPI or similar frameworks preferred)
- Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and ORMs such as SQLAlchemy
- Experience with API design async programming and third-party integrations
