Job Summary

Scopic is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript ReactJS AWS) to join our remote team of innovators.

This is a full-time remote position offering flexibility a consistent workload and the opportunity to grow alongside a global team of software professionals

Responsibilities:

Design and build modern responsive web applications using JavaScript and the ReactJS ecosystem
Develop clean maintainable and scalable code in line with best practices and coding standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Implement advanced front-end features including video/audio playback WebSocket communication state management and security enhancements
Leverage AWS services to create robust scalable and secure cloud-native applications
Containerize applications using Docker to ensure consistency across environments
Perform code reviews and support continuous improvement through feedback and knowledge sharing
Troubleshoot bugs resolve performance issues and optimize for usability and efficiency
Stay current with new trends and advancements in frontend development and cloud computing

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field
7 years of experience developing frontend applications using JavaScript and ReactJS
Proven hands-on experience with AWS services and integrating cloud-based architectures
Familiarity with consuming REST APIs and building secure efficient communication layers
Strong understanding of frontend security practices including JWT XSS and SQL injection prevention
Experience working with Docker and container-based deployment workflows
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Passion for writing high-quality well-documented code
Bonus: Experience with microservices and building highly scalable systems
