After School Music Club Facilitator Freelance 27/hr DY4 (West Midlands)
Are you passionate about inspiring young musicians Do you have the energy and creativity to lead engaging fun music sessions for primary-aged children Sing Education is looking for a dynamic and experienced freelance music facilitator to lead a weekly after-school music club in the DY4 area.
About the Role:
Hours: 2 hours per week (1 session per week after school)
Pay: 27 per hour (freelance)
Location: DY4 area West Midlands
Start date: As soon as available
What Youll Do:
Youll lead a vibrant rotating programme of musical activities designed to inspire creativity and confidence through music-making. Based on our classroom approach but adapted for an informal club setting the activities will include:
- Singing games and Kodály-inspired musicianship
- Ukulele recorder and percussion playing
- Group rhythm and drumming activities
- Improvisation and creative music games
Our club model follows a rotation of musical themes across the year to keep sessions fresh engaging and inclusive.
Requirements
Who Were Looking For:
- Music degree (or music-related degree)
- A confident and inspiring music leader with experience working with primary-aged children
- Strong musical skills in singing and at least one instrument (ukulele recorder percussion ideal)
- Understanding of Kodály-inspired approaches or willingness to learn
- Reliable professional and committed to delivering high-quality music education
- Full vetting and DBS check to be carried out
