This role involves collaborating with neighborhood officers to swiftly and accurately address anti-social behavior (ASB) cases with a focus on supporting vulnerable residents to ensure they feel secure in their homes and communities. The position requires developing strong partnerships to prevent ASB and providing a mediation service tailored to residents needs. As the lead officer you will handle neighbor disputes manage communications for social media tenant information and websites liaise with external agencies and Council services and ensure effective processes for resolving ASB and neighborhood disputes.
Responsibilities
- ASB Intervention & Mediation
- Provide expert advice and support to colleagues on ASB intervention tools and mediation services.
- Develop and maintain effective policies and procedures for resolving ASB disputes.
- Manage complex ASB cases and collaborate with other services for resolution.
- Coordinate with the Haringey Council Community Safety Team on serious ASB cases.
- Enhance partnership working with agencies and Council teams for holistic responses.
- Customer Service
- Offer prompt courteous and accurate advice to service users and external agencies.
- Draft responses to correspondence and complaints for senior staff.
- Maintain organized file systems and ensure prompt document uploads.
- Improve the customer journey and ensure high levels of resident satisfaction.
- Technical Understanding and Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on legislation policy and best practices to improve ASB outcomes.
- Understand regulatory requirements and support residents in creating safe communities.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Foster relationships with Haringey Council services and external agencies.
- Liaise with Resident Associations and other bodies on ASB matters.
- Collaborate with departments and agencies representing the tenancy team and Council.
- Personal Commitment
- Demonstrate commitment to customers community and Council values.
- Represent the service positively and use feedback for improvements.
- Meet performance targets and use data for learning and improvement.
- Monitor and report on tenancy management key performance indicators.
- Work collaboratively with Housing Management and other teams for a holistic service.
- Ensure resident issues are addressed appropriately and in line with objectives.
- Adhere to Councils customer compact equal opportunities and safety procedures.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Expertise in ASB law policy and best practices.
- Experience in managing complex ASB cases and mediation services.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to draft professional correspondence.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for social housing landlords.
