Job Summary
The Lab Technician helps collect and process samples from customers. They also perform different laboratory tests to help doctors diagnose and track how well treatments are working. Customers can be of any age including babies children teenagers adults and older people.
**Qualifications**
**Education:**
- You need an associate degree in medical laboratory technology or laboratory science from an approved school. A bachelors degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science is also acceptable or you can have a mix of education and experience that meets the requirements of CLIA guidelines.
**Experience Knowledge Skills and Abilities:**
- You must have experience working in a clinical lab.
- You should know about CLIA federal and state rules and regulations.
- Being detail-oriented is important.
**Licensure and Certification:**
- Its preferred to have ASCPA/NCA certification or be eligible for it.
