**Qualifications**
**Education:**
- You need an associate degree in medical laboratory technology or laboratory science from an approved school. A bachelors degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science is also acceptable or you can have a mix of education and experience that meets the requirements of CLIA guidelines.
**Experience Knowledge Skills and Abilities:**
- You must have experience working in a clinical lab.
- You should know about CLIA federal and state rules and regulations.
- Being detail-oriented is important.
**Licensure and Certification:**
- Its preferred to have ASCPA/NCA certification or be eligible for it.
